Incognito Mode
Cookie Porter fully supports Incognito mode, allowing you to manage cookies and notes even in private sessions.
Enabling Incognito Access
Section titled “Enabling Incognito Access”By default, Chrome disables extensions in Incognito mode. To use Cookie Porter in private tabs:
- Open Chrome and go to
chrome://extensions. - Find Cookie Porter and click on Details.
- Scroll down and toggle the switch for Allow in Incognito.
Using the Extension
Section titled “Using the Extension”Once enabled, Cookie Porter functions exactly the same in Incognito:
- Save Cookies: Capture cookies from a private tab to use them later.
- Inject Cookies: Restore sessions from your main library into an Incognito window.
- Notes: Access and edit your synchronized notes while browsing privately.
Privacy Note
Section titled “Privacy Note”When you inject cookies into an Incognito tab, you are essentially “identifying” that session with the saved data. However, once the Incognito window is closed, Chrome will still clear those cookies as usual.
